A Simple Life Planner
With this FREE printable Life Planner, organize your daily, weekly and monthly schedule, take control of your finances, track your goals and habits, plan your meals, and keep your important information all in one binder!
As promised last week, this update to our printable planner completes the binder! You’ll find all the sections listed below with the download button at the end of the post. Enjoy, and have a planned and perfect 2021!
Of all the things I’ve learned or improved upon since starting our blog (writing, photography, building stuff, breaking stuff, annoying Handan, etc.), the most crucial to our continued success is how to plan my life. There are just too many moving parts, too many balls in the air, and too many fingers in too many pies to wing it without a plan.
I am not by nature a planned person. Never have been. Never needed to be.
Until recently.
Thank god my wife is not only an engineer, but has literally held the title of “Senior Planning Manager” on one of the largest civil engineering projects ever undertaken by human beings: the construction of an entire city from nothing in Abu Dhabi.
The woman has her own slogan, fer chrissakes!
“Planned and Programmed.”
It’s how she’s lived her entire adult life.
It’s how I’m starting to live, though not without a bit of kicking and screaming, I’ll admit.
Hey, after a lifetime of blowing with the wind and whistling Dixie, living a planned life isn’t always easy or fun.
But it is essential to success. About that, there is no doubt.
So Handan, the Jedi Master of Planning, has been teaching me how to be Planned and Programmed.
Our continued success depends upon it!
Recently she started working on a free printable planner to share with our VIP readers.
Old Me would have yawned at the idea and reached for another handful of potato chips.
New Me is excited about the prospect and trying to help out by finding good planning quotes to make me look like I actually contributed to the project. New Me would still love to reach for a handful of potato chips, but he’s forbidden himself from eating them, so he’ll have to reach for a handful of kale instead.
Yeah, it’s just as good.
Anyway, if this woman can plan an entire city, she can certainly make a kick-ass life planner!
Now that it’s done, I’m going to print it out for myself.
Every tool helps.

A Simple Life Planner – Binder Covers
We have 3 designs for you to choose from: floral, Ferris wheel and confetti. The floral design has 6 color schemes, and the Ferris wheel and confetti designs each have 5 color schemes. Feel free to mix and match as you please!
A Simple Life Planner – Section Dividers
Setting goals and making plans isn’t easy for some (like me) – each of our section dividers has a little inspiration and encouragement to keep you on track!
A Simple Life Planner – Monthly Planner Printables
Back in the sad and lonely days before Handan, I couldn’t look forward more than a few hours. When we started the blog, I learned to look ahead a day or two. But now, I need to have a clear idea of what’s happening at least a month into the future. I’d be lost without my monthly planner!
A Simple Life Planner – Weekly Planner Printables
While my monthly planner outlines the month in broad strokes, my weekly planner gets into the specifics of what I need to accomplish each week.
We have 3 different styles of our weekly planner for you to choose from. The first one is a single page with a square box layout…
…the second one is also a single page but with a horizontal box layout…
…and the third one is two pages with an hourly schedule layout.
A Simple Life Planner – Daily Planner Printables
I use my Daily Planner to break down my tasks and projects outlined in my weekly planner into actionable chunks of time. It also helps me to remember all the places I need to drive my son. Only one more year until he can drive himself – Hallelujah!
The bottom of the Daily Planner printable has a box to list your Goals for the Day and a box to list your Must-Dos. There’s even a handy box to track your water consumption! You know you should be drinking more water, and so should I!
We have two styles of the printable Daily Planner for you – Today or My Day. Choose whichever you prefer!
A Simple Life Planner – Weekly Meal Planner Printables
Having a weekly meal planner is a great way to save money. Before I planned a week ahead, I was always scrambling for dinner, which resulted in too many unplanned trips to the grocery store and, inevitably, too much waste.
We’re offering our Weekly Meal Planner in 3 different styles for you to choose from.
A Simple Life Planner – Budget Planner Printables
I never kept a budget in my life before living with Handan, but oh how I wish I had! I couldn’t live without it now! Every morning, it’s the first thing I update to start my day.
They just keep coming back! Gah! We all hate them, but since they aren’t going away, we may as well keep track of our recurring expenses, so they don’t get the upper hand!
You go to the doctor once a year, the dentist once every six months and the oil change guy every three months. But what about your finances? It’s good to take a cold, hard look once a month to see how healthy that checking account is!
A Simple Life Planner – Project Planner Printables
It’s amazing how many more projects you can accomplish when you write them down and plan them out. Take it from us! 🙂
A Simple Life Planner – To Do & Honey Do Lists
Choose from a To Do List, a Honey Do List, or a combination of the two. The combo list can be cut down the middle, so you can stick yours on the fridge and staple Honey’s to his forehead! Now why do I get the feeling that the Honey Do List will always be longer than the To Do List?
A Simple Life Planner – Cleaning Schedule
We all hate it, and we all find little excuses to skip this job or that. By writing it down, you make it a commitment. Pro tip: write your husband’s name or kids’ names at the top. Share the misery!
A Simple Life Planner – Chore Chart
This chore chart has “teenager” written all over it! 😀
A Simple Life Planner – Wellness Tracker
Most of us need improvement in the wellness department. Help to get your body and mind back on track with our printable wellness tracker!
A Simple Life Planner – Fitness Tracker
Fitness and wellness go hand in hand. Our fitness tracker will help you focus on the physical aspects of your overall wellness.
A Simple Life Planner – Goal Tracker
Goals are just wishes that blow away in the wind the moment they’re spoken. By writing them down, you commit to them. Our Goal Tracker will help you achieve yours by allowing you to state your goal (and your richly-deserved reward), the steps needed to achieve it, your deadline and the date you crushed that goal.
Achieving your goals is even sweeter with a written record!
A Simple Life Planner – Habit Tracker
Is there a good habit you’d like to have? Do you have a bad habit you’d like to break? Use our Habit Tracker for both! Simply write your habit in the box and then circle or mark the days below that you did the good behavior or didn’t do the bad behavior. Like goals, habits are better gained or dropped when you commit them to paper.
A Simple Life Planner – Important Information and Important Contacts
Life gets more complicated with each passing year and there’s nothing worse than scrambling for an a phone number or account number in an emergency. Keep them all in one place and keep it handy!
A Simple Life Planner – Important Days Log
We all have important days and events we need to remember: birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, vacations, and the list goes on and on. Keep track of them with our Important Days Log, and you’ll never forget Old Aunt Edna’s birthday again!
There’s a small 2021 calendar in there, too, so be sure to print out all the pages for the year!
A Simple Life Planner – Password Log
I used to keep all of my passwords on a tiny wrinkled and tattered piece of paper. Handan’s password log makes it so much easier to keep them organized!
A Simple Life Planner – Inspirational Quotes Log
The right words read at the right time can make all the difference…
A Simple Life Planner – Notes
Some people just take notes with words. For you, we have ruled Notes pages. But for some, words aren’t enough. Some folks need to draw diagrams and pictures to go with the words. For you, we have graph Notes pages.
A Simple Life Planner – Read & Watch List
Everybody has a favorite binge show on Netflix or a book they just couldn’t put down, and they’re all just dying to tell you about them. Keep track of all those must-see movies and page-turners with our Read & Watch list.

I saved it with Bible Joy pinterest tab with a prayer notebook- I believe you did all this work for a reason. I also put under a tab that is about organization {spaces} – Reserve a Spot is the pinterest tab and I figured that if they were trying to organize, they might be like me – Starting 2019 with Joy, Determination and So Grateful!!
Thank You!

This is a fabulous planner!! I would love to download it, but every time I click what I think is the download on the Free Printables page, it just wraps me back to this post. What am I doing wrong??? Sorry, Greg, to make more work for you.
Hi Susan, I sent you an email with a possible solution. If it works, I’ll post it here 🙂
Hi Greg, the same is happening to me also.
Just the same happening to me…
I read that this set of planning pages is PDF. Perchance can it be kept on the PC and written to without printing it out? Thanks for the work you put into it…GREAT job!
Hi Cindy, thank you so much! The PDF format I’m giving is not editable if you’re using a PDF reader. But if you have a PDF writer (such as Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro), then yes you could easily write notes on any PDF file including the ones we are giving.
I hope this helps!
Would love to download, but after entering the password for VIP area I’m just gettting a “too many redirects” error message – even after clearing cookies etc. Any way around this? Thanks!

Hi Wanda, I emailed you the solution for this 🙂
Greg & Handan – Your calendars and planners are fantastic and I appreciate all the work you did for us to enjoy. Because I use all calendars and planners/organizers, etc. on my computer and not loose-leaf, I am wondering if there is any way I can transfer them to my Microsoft Word? Probably not, but sure would be handy! Thank you for all you do to make our lives enjoyable!
