For a whole lotta people, 2020 has been a year like no other. And with the holiday season in full swing now, Christmas 2020 promises to be like no other in living memory.
But here’s the thing.
You can let it be like no other…
Or you can make it like no other.
There’s a big difference.
It’s time to stop griping about how bad a year it was and start making December as fantastic as it can be.
It’s not hard, you know.
You can take some of those negatives and turn them upside down.
Forced time at home got you going a little bananas in the coconut?
Hey, you just got yourself more crafting and DIY time! Imagine all you can accomplish during the promised “long, dark winter” ahead!
It’s a Maker’s dream, madam!
I say, “Bring it on!“
But what to do what to do what to do??
Well, lemme tell you something, sister – there’s one little machine in this house that’s been flexing more than any other this holiday season.
And, no, I’m not talking about my hulking biceps! [Bwahahaha! Well you got the “little” part right, lololol! 😀 -Handan]
No, I’m talking about Cricut Joy – our tireless craft room work
If you’re not familiar with Cricut Joy and all its myriad mini wonders, please check out my Making on the Move post to learn all about the little bundle of fun.
Our Joy has gone from Cute Little Oddity to Ruler of the Craft Room – I can’t imagine crafting without it! Yes, we still use and love our Explore Air 2 and Maker, but I have to admit that Joy is getting a ton more flex-time these days!
My 3 favorite things about Cricut Joy are:
- Portability and ease of use. It’s tiny enough to use almost anywhere, and there are no wires (except the power cable) to clutter your workspace.
- The card mat and card-making abilities. Seriously, card making just got stupid simple, and that’s just how I like things!
- The long cut. Can your Maker or Explore Air cut a 4-foot-long design? Can it repeat that 4-foot design 5 times for a continuous 20-foot cut? No? Then you need Cricut Joy, madam!
Let’s check out some of deals!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

Okay look, I have a confession to make. I know I’m supposed to love the best machine best, right? And I do love the Maker, make no mistake, madam! I call this the “wax on, wax off” set, and I can’t tell you how much I love my brayer!
When we first got this knife, I was thinking, meh, it’s just a prettied-up X-ACTO! But, wow! It really feels good to cut with this knife! It really is just a prettied-up X-ACTO, but Cricut hit all the right notes with the prettification! The grip is insanely comfortable and allows for precise control, and you won’t find an easier way to change blades!
Well, you just need this set, plain and simple. I don’t think much about it, but there’s not a single Cricut project we do that doesn’t involve one or more of these tools. A no-brainer for sure!
Oooooh, I love this kit, first and foremost for the self-healing mat! If you’ve read any of our recent posts, you’ve seen this mat as a backdrop. Bundled with the always-needed acrylic ruler and smooooooth-rolling rotary cutter, this is one of my favorite Cricut kits.
We don’t have this snappy little organizer…yet…but we will before the new year, that’s for sure!
If you have the slightest notion of jumping into the Cricut game or giving the gift of Cricut Joy, now is the time to do it, as we’ve never seen sales this good before! You won’t be sorry you did. Cricut is more than a machine, it’s kinda become a way of life. Handan and I have had so much fun using ours, and it keeps the crafting magic alive between us. I know it sounds kinda corny, but it’s true. There’s a reason they’ve built up such a loyal and devoted following. Make the jump and take the plunge this holiday season. You won’t regret it.
Handan and I wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to our American readers and a joyous and peaceful holiday season to all.
